Entertainment at the Bradstan Country Hotel

Entertainment in the Nancy LaMott Room  at the Bradstan occurs in two ways.

First:

Each Friday and Saturday night from Memorial Day to Labor Day, and  every Saturday year round, the room is open from 9:00 P.M. to 1:00 A.M. and operates much like the Manhattan style piano bars such as "Don't Tell Mama's" and the late, great "Eighty Eights". That is that the staff are all professional cabaret singers who wait tables and perform on those nights. Just about all of the singers who work at the Bradstan have all performed  their solo shows at various cabaret rooms in Manhattan including, Don't Tell  Mama, Eighty Eights, the Duplex, Danny's Skylight Room, The FireBird Cafe, and  as of October of 2000, the Oak Room at the Algonquin Hotel. Some of the  performers who appear on Friday & Saturday evenings include: Scott Samuelson,  Jeanne MacDonald, Brian Gens, Steven Wing, Lumiri Tubo, Valerie Kanofsky,  Kathy Brier, Colleen Delles, and Joana Duffy.

The style of music performed ranges from Broadway show to popular standards,  to contemporary, and a little of blues, jazz, country, and original  compositions.

There is no cover charge on Friday or Saturday although there is a $15.00 minimum per person. Cocktails, soft drinks, coffee, tea, and homemade desserts are all available for purchase and all are applicable to your minimum. No reservations are accepted on these nights, it is first come, first served.

Second:

The Second entertainment option takes place on selected holiday Sunday evenings and for twelve consecutive Sundays each summer in the form of our "Inn Cabaret" series. On these Sunday evenings some of the most famous cabaret artists from around the world perform their solo shows in the Nancy LaMott Room. There are two shows each of those nights, the first at 7:00 P.M. and the second at 9:30 P.M.

There is a ticket price that includes a drink of $30.00 for either show. The shows are approximately an hour in duration and the artists do greet the audience and sign and sell their CD recordings after each performance. Some "Inn Cabaret" alumni include: the late Nancy LaMott, Karen Mason, Ann Hampton Callaway, Christine Andreas, Tom Andersen, Jeff Harnar, K.T. Sullivan, Lee Lessack, Eric Hansen, Baby Jane Dexter, Phillip Officer, Jeanne MacDonald, Lumiri Tubo, Alix Korey, Christiane Noll, Natalie Gamsu, David Campbell, Debbie Gravitte, Michael McAssey, Tim DiPasqua, and cabaret legends, Julie Wilson and Margaret Whiting. See current "Inn Cabaret" schedule on this site.

If you wish to hear a nice sample "Listen To My Heart" of the wonderful artistry of Nancy LaMott -  you have two options:

  • Click here to listen in Real Time. This option requires at least 115K Internet Connection

  • Click here to download a file and listen it later, if your connection is slower than 115K. This file may load slowly, but it is worth the wait...
