from around the East Coast gathered at Walnut Mountain Park in liberty the last weekend in
July for a re-creation of battles and camp life. Hundreds observed and walked through the

Visit from Abe
The second grade class at Damascus Elementary School had a recent treat, when Abraham
Lincoln, alias John Deck of Long Eddy, addressed the class for a social studies lesson,
and gave the life history of one of America's most famous presidents. Standing to the left
of "Abe" is Jason Litzenbauer of Abrahamsville, Pa., Mr. Deck's grandson. |
