Congregation Temple Beth-El
Kauneonga Lake, New York

congregation.jpg (38656 bytes)The congregation had it's beginning in 1923, on Route 55, on the site of the Ramsey family barn. It was rebuilt into a Jewish Orthodox house of worship.

The new building was named Temple Beth-El. Since Bethel in Hebrew means House of God, it was decided to honor the Township of Bethel. In the 1970s the congregation became Conservative.

Over the years Congregation Temple Beth-El lived up to the Hebrew meaning of it's name -House of God.

Services are conducted, currently, during the summer, from the holiday of Shevouth until the conclusion of Yom Kippur. Weekly services are held on Fridays at 8 P.M. and Saturdays at 9 A.M., each concluding with an Oneg on Friday and a Kiddush on Saturday.

The address is Temple Beth-El, Route 55, Drawer G, Kauneonga Lake, NY 112749
